Delhi Police Outer District busted a call centre duping people with expensive gadgets

The Delhi Police Outer District busted a call centre in Mangolpuri.

The accused were identified as  Krishan (40) from Sultanpuri, Pooja (25) from Mangolpuri, Versha (19) from Mangolpuri, Abhishek (18) from Sultanpuri,  Rakhi (19) from Mangolpuri, Omwati (20) from Mangolpuri, Kamal Singh (23) from Nangloi , Rakhi Sharma (24) from Budh Vihar, Hanny (19) from Mangolpuri, Kiran (24) from Sultanpuri Delhi,  Santosh (24) from Mangolpuri.

DCP Outer, Parvinder Singh stated that Krishan had started the business of online supply of mobile phones last year but his business suffered losses. To make up for the loss he came upon the idea of duping people in the name of providing expensive mobile phones at unbelievably low prices.

The police raided the spot after receiving input about the alleged call centre. When the police team raided the spot, they found one person Krishan is running a Tele-Call Centre with the help of three male and eight female employees for providing MI Note phone on heavy discount. 

The police further said that his tele-callers would call random numbers and make queries about the called persons interest in purchasing MI smart phones worth about 20,000 rupees at a meager amount of 4000 rupees. When the victim agreed and placed his order with them, they would send a plastic phone or pieces of card-board packed as a new phone. The numbers given to him to complain subsequently were all fake. On an average, they used to allegedly cheat two to three victims.

The police seized12 mobile phones,12 Vodafone SIM, one computer,15 record register and order forms. The police are further investigating the case.
