Haryana Police filed filed complaint against farmers in Kaithal for stubble burning

New Delhi, November 9

The Haryana Police has filed FIR against farmers in Kaithal for stubble burning. 

The Kaithal District Administration filed a FIR against the farmers after the DM visited a few spots where stubble was being allegedly burnt.

District Collector of Kaithal Pradeep Dahiya stated farmers were instructed and advised not to burn stubble. While majority of them stopped the practise, some continued and the same was spotted by the district administration. 

The police added that they will take the action on the farmers after a discussion with the district administration authorities.

The farmers on the other hand have been showing helplessness regarding stubble burning and blaming the government for non payment of compensation of Rs. 7000 to them for not burning the stubble.
