473 newly recruited constables pass out of Delhi Police Academy

New Delhi, February 1

473 newly recruited constables passed out of the Delhi Police Academy at Jharoda Kalan New Delhi. 

Around 1,000 spectators including family members, guests, trainees & senior officers witnessed this colorful passing out parade.C

Chief Guest, Jaspal Singh, DGP Goa, took the salute of marching contingents of trainees.  Vijay Singh, Director DPA, Uma Shankar, Deputy Director Training among other officers of DPA were also present during the Passing out Parade.

The officials informed that these passed out trainees are well educated as out of the 473 recruit Constables 04 are post-graduate, 01 is M. Tech, 03 are M. Com and 96 are Graduates.

During their training, apart from law subjects and Police Procedures, they have also been taught in wide spectrum of subjects viz. Organization and Administration, Computer Science, Cyber-Crime, Police Behavior, Social Groups and Police Investigation etc. In Outdoor subjects, they have been trained in Parade, Drill, Un-armed Combat, Firing and in anti-terrorist measures. These trainees have also been trained to deal with terrorism related and riot related incidents by using latest techniques. For their physical fitness, the trainees did P.T., Games, Yoga and Gym activities apart from playing sports of their choice.  

DGP Goa Jaspal Singh in his speech greeted family members and recruit constables who have successfully completed their training in Delhi. He congratulated the trainees on completion of their basic training and insisted on use of modern technology.  

He advised the trainees to follow ethics, moral values and knowledge in their duties that were imparted to them during training. Director, Delhi Police Academy presented the momento to DGP/Goa on behalf of Delhi Police. The event was telecasted live on YouTube Channel of Delhi Police Academy.
