Gurugram Police conducts CYBER CHAMPS for schools in Gurugram

New Delhi, May 17

The Gurugram Cyber Police organized a Digital Content Designing competition on the theme of Cyber Safety. 

The competition was held at Blue Bells Model School where 38 schools across the Gurugram participated.

The growing internet consumption among children for online education, entertainment, social interaction, and gaming has made them more vulnerable to cyber crimes, which are more common nowadays. 

To reduce the threat and spread awareness among school students, Gurugram Cyber Police and CSO team along with Blue Bells Model School, under its initiative – CYBER CHAMPS has conducted inter-school Digital Content Designing Competition. 

The video content prepared by students was exhibited and top 3 schools were selected. The content designed by *DAV Public School, Sector-14 secured 1st Position followed by HDFC School and Blue Bells Model School as 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.*

The objective of this initiative was to make Gurugram cyber-safe and as a part of the digital content-making process, the school students will learn about preventive measures and safety tools to be safe on the internet. Since the announcement of this digital content competition, there has been an overwhelming response from the students and 38 schools across the city participated in it. Several other schools have also approached and mentioned that their students are enthusiastic about such initiative which will also be participating in such initiatives and competitions which will be held after summer vacations.

DCP South Gurugram Siddhant Jain along with Cyber West and South SHO Jasvir Singh, Shahid Ahmed and CSOs (Cyber Security Officers) Raj Kumar Yadav, Jagdish Baweja, Varun Soni, Mayank, Sahil Saini, Kusum Sharma, Prince Batra, MD Hidayat, Amit Kumar, Anil Jaitely participated in the campaigns to raise awareness on cyber dangers and tips on how to stay safe.
