New Delhi, May 27
A speeding Audi killed an elderly man died in Noida where the victim flung several feet in the air before landing on the ground.
The police stated that the incident took place in wee hours of May 26 near Kanchenjunga Apartment in Noida's Sector 24.
The victim was identified as Janak Dev Shah who was crossing the road. Shah was out for a walk and to buy milk.
His family members started looking for him when he did not return home and found his body lying in a pool of blood on the road.
The CCTV footage of the incident showed Shah crossing the road when suddenly the Audi came from the front and hit him.
The police rushed to the spot and found him lying on the road. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot. His body was sent for postmortem.
The incident happened amid outcry where a minor is accused of ramming his speeding Porsche into a two-wheeler and killing two people.
A case has been registered against the driver of the Audi under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) after the incident.
