BSF held anti human trafficking campaign in Fulbari in West Bengal

New Delhi, October 29

A campaign against Human Trafficking was organized by BSF Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) Fulbari. 

Human trafficking as a worldwide is social problem related to serious violation of Human Rights which is also associated with the abuse of human dignity. 

As a form of organized crime, human trafficking undermines the basic principles of legal order and the democratic standards of society. The transnational nature of this phenomenon requires the combined efforts of all social units and institutions concerned to tackle the problem of human trafficking.

The programme was supervised Ravi Gandhi, Inspector General of North Bengal Frontier BSF in coordination with World Vision India (NGO) at Fulbari Gram Panchayat Community Hall. 

The local population including minor/young girls, women and personnel of AHTU Fulbari attended the campaign. The representatives of World Vision India, Dooars Express and Tiny hand also participated in the campaign. 

Representatives NGOs and AHTU Fulbari gave presentation on prevention of human trafficking and created awareness among local people. The aim of this campaign was to stop the trafficking of women, children and adults from India to other places or vice versa. The campaign/meeting was appreciated by the locals and they expressed their gratitude to the NGO and BSF.
