BSF organises civic action programme at border schools in zindo Bangladesh border

BSF distributed sports and stationery items worth Rs. 2,40,000 to border schools and local clubs

New Delhi, January 22

The 68th Battalion of BSF South Bengal Frontier successfully organised a civic action programme at "FP Prathmik Vidyalaya," Rajkol  

The event aimed to promote community development and encourage sports among youth and border communities. The programme was inaugurated by Commanding Officer of 68th Battalion O.P. Sharma (2nd in Command), in the presence of teachers and students from nearby schools, officers & jawans of the 68th battalion. Students from Rajkol, Ranaghat, Kulia, Kashipur, and Jeetpur schools enthusiastically participated in large numbers.

During the programme, BSF distributed sports and stationery  items worth Rs. 2,40,000 to border schools and local clubs. The items distributed included Volleyballs, Cricket kits, T-shirts, Sports shorts, School bags, Stationery items and Chairs.

This initiative aimed to inspire youth and students towards sports while emphasizing the importance of teamwork, discipline, physical fitness, and recreational activities. The primary objective of distributing sports items was to foster a healthy lifestyle and a strong sports culture among the youth in border areas.

The BSF Public Relations Officer reiterated that empowering border communities and fostering the development of their youth remain key priorities. Such programmes not only promote physical and mental growth but also nurture a sense of patriotism and discipline within border communities.
