Delhi Police Rohini District arrested two Bangladeshis with over 20 kg of cannabis.
The accused were identified as Rashil Khan (28) from Kasim Vihar in Ghaziabad, U.P and Harun Khan (26) from Narela.
DCP Rohini, Pranav Tayal stated that the accused used to obtain the cannabis from Bihar and supply in Delhi. The accused were found with 21 kgs of the contraband which was meant for distribution in Delhi.
The Rohin District narctics cell received information on the suppliers of Ganja in the vicinity based on which a trap was laid at Shiv Chowk.
The police noticed two suspects heading towards Sector-22 of Rohini. When the police stopped their vehicle, they tried to flee however the police chased the suspects and overpowered them.
The police stated that when the duo were arrested, 21kg and 400 gms of cannabis was found in their possession.
The accused have been booked under the NDPS Act.
The police further said that during the interrogation, it was revealed that both the accused are from Bangladesh and presently residing at different places in Delhi. They used to obtain Ganja from their contacts in Champaran of Bihar and Najafgarh and distributed in various places in Delhi.
The police are further investigating the case ot identity the other accused involved in this racket and their associates.
