In a colourful ceremony, 599 personnel including 259 women personnel passes out of Delhi Police Academy.
Newly recruited Sub Inspectors Batch Nos. 49 & 50, Head Constable (Ministerial) (Male & Female) Batch No. 68, Recruit Constables (Male & Female) Batch No. 120, Recruit Constables (Drivers) Batch No. 26 of Delhi Police and Recruit Constables Jail Warder of Ladakh Batch No. 01 & Recruit Constable Ladakh Police (Male & Female) Batch No. 01 passed out from the academy at Jharoda Kalan.
Nearly 2250 including family members, guests, trainees and senior officers witnessed this colourful passing out parade.
Chief Guest, Delhi Police Commissioner, Sanjay Arora, took the salute of marching contingents of trainees.
Special CP (Training) Sunil Kumar Gautam, Director Vijay Singh, Directo, Dr. SD Singh Jamwal, Addl. DGP, Police Head, UT of Ladakh; Professor Dr. Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Rashtriya Raksha University, Gujrat and Dharmesh Kumar Prajapati, Dy. Registrar, Rashtriya Raksha University, Gujrat were also present during the Passing out Parade.
These batches will augment the trained manpower of Delhi Police & Ladakh Police by 599 personnel including 259 Women personnel. They are well educated as out of the 309PSIs 56 are Post-Graduate and 07 are LLB, Out of 13 Head Constables (Min.), 07 are Post-Graduate. Out of the 53 Constables, 05 are Post-Graduate. Besides this , Out of the 213 Recruit Constables of Ladakh Police 59 are Post Graduates and out of 09 Recruit Constables Jail Warder of Ladakh 01 is Post Graduate.
The passed-out trainees of Delhi Police hail from different states/UT’s cutting across India from Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Orissa, Punjab, West-Bengal, Chhattisgarh & Nagaland. Constable (Drivers) hail from Delhi, all the trainees of Ladakh Police and Jail Warder hails from UT of Ladakh.
During their training, apart from Law subjects and Police Procedures, they have also been taught in wide spectrum of subjects viz. Organization and Administration, Computer Science, Cyber-Crime, Police Behaviour, Social Groups and Police Investigation and their cadre related subjects which are useful for their day to day working. In Outdoor subjects, they have been trained in Parade, Drill, Un-armed Combat, Firing and in anti-terrorist measures. These trainees have also been trained to deal with terrorism related and riot related incidents by using latest techniques. For their physical fitness, they have been given Physical Training via P.T., Games, Yoga and Gym activities.
One month commando training was given to the PSIs and Recruit Constables of Delhi Police. The Constable (Drivers) have been given specialized training in driving & vehicle maintenance. Helicopter Slithering training was also conducted for the PSIs towards the preparation for G-20 Summit.
On the occasion, the oath was administered by Director, Delhi Police Academy, Sh. Vijay Singh, IPS, Sunil Kumar Gautam, Spl. CP, Training, Delhi welcomed the Chief Guest, Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi and other guests namely Dr. SD Singh Jamwal, Addl. DGP, Police Head, UT of Laddakh, Professor Dr. Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhi Nagar, Gujrat and others. He congratulated the trainees on completion of their basic training and insisted on use of modern technology. He advised the trainees to follow ethics, moral values and knowledge in their duties that were imparted to them during training. In collaboration with RRU, Diploma Certificates in Police Administration & Investigation has been awarded to PSIs and Recruit Constables of Delhi Police using block chain technology. He also acknowledged the support of officials of RRU for this initiative.
Professor Dr. Kalpesh H. Wandra, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Rashtriya Raksha University administered the Oath of the Rashtriya Raksha University to the all PSIs and Constables of Delhi Police before awarding them the Diploma Certificate in Police Administration and Investigation.
He awarded the trophies and certificates to the best performers in their batches. All Round Best' trophy of PSIs Batch No. 49 was awarded to SI Surbhi and in Batch No. 50 was awarded to SI Swati. In Head Constable (Ministerial) Batch No. 68 W/HC Neha and in R/Constables batch Constable Rajnandni was given overall best Trophies for their performances.
Later, the Chief Guest also unveiled the inaugural edition of newsletter “Kadamtaal” of Delhi Police Academy, giving insights of the activities of Delhi Police Academy. The Commissioner of Police, Delhi appreciated the efforts put in by Uma Shankar, Dy. Director (Training)/DPA being Editor of the said newsletter and Director, DPA Vijay Singh, Patron in Chief of the newsletter.
The Chief Guest Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi in his speech congratulated Special Commissioner of Police, Training, Director/DPA, all the officers and trainers of Delhi Police Academy for successful completion of training and good Passing Out Parade. He also extended his best wishes to the passed-out trainees and the family members and relatives of all the trainees. As token of gratitude SD Singh Jamwal, ADG, UT of Ladakh presented a momento to Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi.
