Canadian police arrests an Indian student in Hardeep Singh Nijjar killing

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) arrested Amandeep Singh (22) who was already under Peel Regional Police custody in Ontario for unrelated firearms charges

New Delhi, May 13

The Canadian police have arrested a fourth Indian national for the killing of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar outside a gurudwara in British Columbia last June.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) arrested Amandeep Singh (22) who was already under Peel Regional Police custody in Ontario for unrelated firearms charges.

IHIT said in a statement that their investigation led to sufficient evidence for the BC Prosecution Service to charge Amandeep Singh with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Earlier arrests include three other Indian nationals, Karan Brar, Kamalpreet Singh, and Karanpreet Singh, who were apprehended in Edmonton and charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in Nijjar’s death.
