The Delhi Police organized a “Mega Job Fair” for ‘YUVA candidates at Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology in Janakpuri.
The job fair was organised under DCP West Ghanshyam Bansal and training partners M/s IACT Education Pvt. Ltd. & M/s Staredu Education & Training Pvt. Ltd played vital roles in organizing the said event.
The instant job fair event is a community policing initiative under the “Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP)” program aimed to provide employment avenues to vulnerable and underprivileged youths.
YUVA 2.0 Project of Delhi Police is being run in all districts of Delhi in association with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), working under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) wherein 13 training partners are providing skill-training to underprivileged & vulnerable youths across 18 different job skills including Assistant Electrician, Solar PV Helper, Light Motor Vehicle Driver, Energy Meter Technician, Beauty Therapist, Makeup Artist etc.
DCP (PMMC) Kumar Gyanesh stated that 1075 candidates participated out of which total 1005 candidates have been given confirmed job offer letters.
Apart from the present day Job Fair event in West District, Delhi Police has earlier organized four job fairs for YUVA candidates in Dwarka Distt., South Distt, North-West Distt. & East Distt. to provide job opportunities to unprivileged & vulnerable youths in which numerous multinational companies participated in the Mega Job Fair to recruit the YUVA trainees. During earlier job fair programs, total 1110 YUVA candidates have been given confirmed Job Offer Letters and more than 1800 candidates have been given Letter of Intents.
So far, 2105 candidates have been given confirmed job offer letters and process to joining more than 1800 YUVA candidates who received LOIs (Letter of Intent) by various multinational companies is in progress, officials added.
Special CP Sanjay Singh was Chief Guest of the function stated that the job fair event aims to keep youths on right track by engaging them in a constructive manner and to channel energy of youths from economically weaker backgrounds through these skill training programs.
He further stated that this job fair event has given numerous opportunities to underprivileged youths to be able to secure skill-jobs in multinational companies which will ultimately reduce juvenile delinquency. He urged the YUVA candidates to choose right path in their life and also emphasized that Delhi Police is committed to encourage underprivileged youths to earn their livelihood by good means and to refrain from wrongdoings.
