Noida police arrests two in Audi hit and run case of Noida

The duo had killed an elderly man crossing the road in Sector 24 with their speeding Audi

New Delhi, May 31

The Noida Police arrested two men who killed an elderly man who was crossing the road with their Audi car in Noida. 

The accused have been identified as Luv and Prince and their car was traced and seized. The car, which is registered in Haryana, was found in Delhi's Kidwai Nagar area near the NBCC complex.

The police stated that Luv was driving the car at the time of the accident on May 19 in Noida's Sector 24 and the vehicle was registered under the name of his brother-in-law, Pramod.

The police had to scan through hundreds of CCTV footage across 150 locations of Noida and some other places in NCR to trace the accused. 

The tragic incident was captured in the CCTV footage that showed the victim, Janak Dev Shah, crossing the road when suddenly the Audi came from the front and hit him. Shah flung several feet in the air before landing on the ground. He died on the spot.
