Punjab Police neutralized two associates involved in Sidhu Moosewala murder

New Delhi, July 20

The Punjab Police neutralized two associates of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang involved in sensational murder of Punjab singer Sidhu Moosewala.

The encounter broke out at village Chicha Bhanka, near the Indo-Pak border
in Amritsar of Punjab. 

The accused identified as Mandeep Manu and Jagdeep Rupa were accused of shooting at Moosewala.

The police said the duo had taken shelter in an isolated house in a field. The encounter lasted for more than three hours. The police have recovered one AK 47, a pistol and a bag from the site.

The officials said that three policemen were wounded in the encounter, while one cameraman sustained a bullet injury who are all in stable condition now.

AGTF Chief, Pramod Ban said, “Mandeep Manu and Jagdeep Bhai Rupa have been killed in an encounter. Both were wanted in Sidhu Moosewala’s murder case".

According to probe in the Moosewala murder case so far, Mandeep Manu and Jagdeep Rupa were the first to overtake his car and open fire at him.

Two cars had been following Moosewala in which the second car was carrying four men — Priyavrat alias Fauji, Kashish alias Kuldeep, Ankit Sirsa and Deepak Mudni.
Manu and Rupa had been on the run since the murder.

The Delhi Police Special Cell had held Priyavart and Kashish were held from Mundra port in Gujarat and a large haul of arms are seized from them.
